Biography of the Presenter: Chen Peng, Ph.D., is a researcher at the State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics, Second Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources. He is also an adjunct professor at Hohai University and Qilu University of Technology. In 2023, he was recognized as a National Outstanding Young Talent, and in 2024, he was recognized as a High-level Leading Talent of the Ministry of Natural Resources. He has presided over 3 projects, including the Excellent Young Scientists Fund project and general project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 3 projects of the National Key Research and Development Program and its sub-projects, and more than 20 other projects. He has published more than 90 academic papers in authoritative journals such as NC, RSE, ISPRS, L&O, and TGRS. Among them, he has published nearly 40 SCI papers as the first/corresponding author, 2 monographs, and has more than 30 patents and software copyrights. Currently, he serves as a core member of the ISSI laser team of the International Space Science Institute, an executive director of the Coastal Zone Branch of the China Remote Sensing Application Association, a guest editor of the first-zone SCI journal Frontiers in Marine Science, and holds more than 10 other positions. He has won 2 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards, including 1 Special Prize of the Marine Science and Technology Award.
